Biography

Vera Alexandropoulou is a distinguished attorney with a robust academic background. She graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Athens and completed postgraduate studies at Harvard University and the University of Heidelberg. She is a qualified attorney-at-law in Cyprus, Greece, and the United Kingdom.

Vera has lectured at Harvard Business School and served as a legal advisor and attorney for Norton Rose Fulbright in Greece, a major shipping law firm in New York, and currently acts as a Legal Advisor to the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) in Greece. She is a member of the Women International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) and delivers shipping-related lectures at DNV Maritime Academy, BCA North London / ICS Greek Branch, and the Athens University of Economics and Business. Vera also serves as Vice President of the Swiss-based Thalassa Foundation, which focuses on protecting and preserving the biodiversity of the Mediterranean Sea http://www.thalassafoundation.com/.

Vera is the Chief Legal Officer for various institutions and associations, primarily in renewable energy, shipping, and fund structures. She mentors accelerators, incubators, and startups and sits on several advisory boards. Vera has authored numerous publications, including the codification of Greek renewable energy and natural gas legislation, and articles on Greek ship finance, listed funds, and environmental issues. She has also chaired the panel of "Elevate Greece," a Greek Government initiative to foster startup growth. Vera speaks Greek, English, French, German, Spanish, and Chinese.
