Rashel Pomoy is the Deputy Managing Partner, Deputy Head of the V&A Law's Labor and Employment Department, and Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. A trusted advisor to both local and international clients, she is known for her skill in navigating complex employment issues, both contentious and advisory. She was one of the youngest lawyers to be promoted to partner in the Firm’s history, reflecting her track record and leadership in the practice.
Rashel advises domestic and multinational clients on the full spectrum of employment and labor relations matters. Her practice includes workplace investigations, collective bargaining issues, large-scale retrenchments, corporate restructures, and cross-border employment transfers. She is regularly engaged to draft and review employment policies, handbooks, severance and release agreements, and non-compete clauses. Clients value her ability to deliver clear and actionable advice in time-sensitive and high-stakes situations.
She has extensive experience representing clients in labor litigation before the National Labor Relations Commission and has handled a wide range of disputes, including illegal dismissal, labor-only contracting, and other violations of Philippine labor law. Rashel also appears in civil courts in relation to restrictive covenants, whether at the enforcement side or the defense side for new employers. She works closely with clients to pursue early resolution where possible or to litigate through trial when necessary, always with a clear view of business needs and practical outcomes.
Her recent engagements include work for Amazon Operations Services Philippines, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Dyson Philippines, Honda Philippines, Huawei Technologies, Avid Technology, SPX Express Philippines, and Vayner Media.
Rashel has been consistently recognized for her expertise in labor and employment law across leading legal directories. She was named one of Asian Business Law Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines for 2024 and 2025 and was included in Asian Legal Business’ 40 Under 40 list in 2023. She also featured in IEL Elite’s 2023 Tomorrow’s Leaders, which spotlighted 40 standout employment law experts worldwide. Rashel has been recognized by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific as a Leading Partner for Labor and Employment from 2023 to 2025, and previously as a Key Lawyer in both Labor & Employment and Dispute Resolution in 2021. In addition, she was named a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific in 2025 and was included as a Recommended Lawyer by the Lexology Index in 2025.
Rashel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from the University of the Philippines in 2009, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2013, where she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
