Biography

Gabriel Bustamante Brambila is a leading Mexican lawyer and head of Bustamante + Freyre (B+F), specializing in environmental law and major infrastructure sectors, including energy, industry, oil and gas, and tourism development. Over a 15+ year career, he has played a key role in large-scale development projects in Mexico worth over $65 billion, including:

  • Renewable energy projects exceeding 9,000 MW
  • Gas transportation networks spanning 5,000+ km
  • Oil and gas exploration and production
  • Power plants, transmission lines, and distribution systems

He is particularly recognized for his expertise in environmental and social impact assessments, having secured more than 600 approvals, and for his leadership in projects aligned with the Equator Principles.

Bustamante also has extensive experience working with:
