Assisted a Japanese-based multinational company specialising in industrial products focusing on organic synthetic chemistry, polymer chemistry and biochemistry technologies with the establishment of its joint venture with another significant market player on the chemical industry.

Acted for a large insurance company in respect of the acquisition of insurance portfolios.

Advised a market leader insurance company on matters of company law.

Represented a large Hungarian Bank in the acquisition, restructuring and subsequent sale of a smaller Bank.

Professional Background

Graduated from Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Law and Political Science in 2010.
He also studied at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Vienna University of Economics and Business and was a member of ELTE Bibó István College of Advanced Legal Studies.
Barna has been a member of the Budapest Bar Association since 2014.
He joined Oppenheim Law Firm as a trainee lawyer in 2011. Prior to joining Oppenheim, he worked as a trainee lawyer in a famous international law firm in Budapest.
He is a regular lecturer on topics of Company law and M&A at Bibó István College of Advanced Legal Studies.
Barna is a member of the International Bar Association.
