Biography

Patrick Rode is a German-qualified lawyer advising companies, founders and investors on legal and strategic issues at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, media and sports. At WINDORFER RODE he focuses on three core areas:

Technology & AI Governance

Patrick advises companies on the legal and governance implications of artificial intelligence, in particular under the EU AI Act. This includes the design and implementation of AI governance structures, internal policies, risk assessments and management training. Through the European AI Academy, Patrick also provides AI literacy programs and serves as External AI Officer for companies implementing AI systems.

Corporate / M&A and Complex Disputes

Patrick regularly advises on corporate transactions, shareholder disputes and complex commercial litigation, including post-M&A disputes and mass claims. His work combines transactional advisory with dispute resolution experience gained in international law firm practice and litigation finance.

Sports, Media & Entertainment

As a FIFA Licensed Football Agent, Patrick advises players, agents and sports organizations on regulatory matters, representation agreements and cross-border transactions in professional sports. Before founding his own practice, he worked at Latham & Watkins and in the litigation finance industry, advising on high-value commercial disputes and international arbitration matters. Patricks advisory approach combines legal precision with entrepreneurial thinking.
