With over twenty-five years of experience in agricultural law, Samuel Crevel has built up a reputation and close ties with many stakeholders in the agricultural and agri-food sector, both in France and abroad.
He is able to offer those involved in the agricultural world a broad and unique expertise – but also a perspective and a listening ear.
Former president of the Epernay joint rural lease tribunal, Samuel Crevel then joined the Ministry of Justice where he was in charge of agricultural legislation, then the Ministry of Agriculture as head of the office for farms, rural planning and the environment.
After having been a referendary advisor at the Court of Cassation in charge of agricultural affairs (3rd civil chamber), he became an associate lawyer in the agricultural and agri-food law department of the RACINE firm in 2014. At the same time, he held the presidency of the legal section of the High Council for Agricultural Cooperation from 2015 to 2019.
Samuel Crevel founded the SCILLON firm at the beginning of 2021.
He has always made sure to enrich his practice with scientific activity: he has taught rural law at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) since 2005 and has served as co-scientific director of the Revue de droit rural, (Rural Law Journal) since 2006, (in charge of the monthly sections “land law” and “cooperative law”).
Always in the service of agricultural law, his cross-disciplinary career has allowed him to acquire incomparable expertise and a network in the agricultural, wine-growing and agri-food sectors.
Recognised for his commitment to this field, he is a Knight in the Order of Agricultural Merit and is regularly appointed as an arbitrator by stakeholders in the agri-food sector.
