Cesare and his team advises on a wide range of commercial legal matters, including large scale international agreements, business terms and conditions and other bespoke contracts. They also advise on all matters relating to intellectual property and brand protection, and data protection and GDPR compliance.

Cesare works closely with fellow partner Mark Chapman who is an expert in regulatory matters and regularly advises clients regulated by the FCA on all associated requirements, including change of controls, regulatory filings, SMF functions etc. Mark and the team cover other regulatory areas as well including SRA compliance, Ofcom and ofgem compliance, sanctions, the CMA and competition law compliance.

The team have particular expertise in tech and software contracts, international distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements, introducer and agency agreements and business to consumer terms and conditions.

Cesare also advises on all aspects of construction law including strategic procurement advice, all standard forms of building contracts, bespoke building and development contracts, sub-contracts, collateral warranties and professional appointments. Cesare regularly advises property developers, employers on building contracts, main contractors, consultants, sub-contractors and any other business in the construction industry, as well as banks lending to those in the industry on a variety of different construction related matters. 

Cesare regularly presents at seminars on a wide range of topics, having presented for CIOB on numerous occasions as well as at events in partnership with national accountants and high street banks.

Cesare has also contributed to text books and thought leadership pieces and white papers throughout his career.

• Major telecommunications infrastructure project: Advising an infrastructure and telecommunications provider in respect of a £160million contract with a public body.
• Large scale public procurement contract Advising a managed services provider in respect of a series of contracts worth £60 – £80million each with a public body.
• Specialist technical supply contract Advising a products and parts provider in respect of a space and aeronautics contract worth in the region of £4million per year.
• International sporting event contract Advising in respect of various contractual arrangements relating to services provided for a major global sporting event across 14 jurisdictions.
• International software supply contract Advising in respect of a multi-million pound software as a service contract covering 18 jurisdictions.

Construction

• Residential Flats
  Advising a developer in respect of a block of residential flats with a build cost in excess of £10 million, to include advice on the latest higher risk building laws.
• £16m Development
  Advising a leading bank on the construction aspects (including main building contracts and collateral warranties) of its lend in respect of the development of a single plot worth in the region of £16million. 
• Stadium facilities
  Advising contractor in respect of high-value and technical works at a well-known sports stadium in the UK. Advice included assisting with an associated sponsorship arrangement.
• Film Studio 
  Prepared contracts for and advised on all contractual arrangements in respect of a multimillion-pound construction project for a film studio. 
• Dedicated business space for automotive sports company
  Advised a main contractor in respect of a fit-out project for a substantial company in the automotive sports industry to create a dedicated space for the business. Drafted standard form contracts for the contractor to use in future projects.

Leisure and Hospitality

• Advising a large well known hotel chain in relation to their contracts for venue hire, weddings and other key business areas. Provided training to members of staff on the use of the contracts and the legal considerations.
• Advising a large leisure centre operator on various contracts with local councils for the running and operating of leisure facilities
• Advising key contractors in relation to projects for the supply of leisure facilities in relation to football stadiums and surrounding areas, including in respect of one premier league football club.
• Advising on terms and conditions in relation to participation in high profile and well known sporting competitions.
