Biography

Bart A. Creve's advisory and litigation practice focuses on all aspects of competition and State aid law, general EU law, and rules on Unfair Trade Practices and Foreign Direct Investments. In addition, Bart has extensive experience in organising and conducting internal investigations.

Bart represents Danish and foreign clients in a wide array of business sectors, including energy, telecoms, aviation, shipping, pharmaceuticals, motion pictures, gambling, consumer electronics and foodstuffs.

Because of his thorough understanding of the details and challenges of a case across jurisdictions, he often assists clients in international proceedings, including before the European Commission and the European Courts as well as national authorities and/or courts in Denmark, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Korea and the US.

Bart has significant experience with merger cases, having coordinated a large number of merger control notifications both in Denmark and abroad. In addition, Bart has considerable expertise in handling investment screening legislation in multiple countries and is a member of Kromann Reumert's FDI working group, which has commented on the draft bill of the upcoming Danish Investment Screening Act. In the context of general competition and State aid law, Bart has extensive experience in regulatory investigations, distribution, pricing and cooperation strategies at both national and international level. He is active as either plaintiff or defence counsel in a number of State aid proceedings.
