Based in Mauritania, I am a Chartered Accountant, Tax & Legal Advisor, and senior advisory professional with over 15 years of experience advising businesses, investors, and institutions on tax, legal, accounting, audit, and regulatory matters in complex and emerging market environments.
My core expertise lies in tax and legal advisory, including tax structuring and optimization, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, statutory audit support, and financial advisory. I have supported a broad range of clients — from SMEs and high-growth companies to large enterprises, multinational groups, and development projects — helping them navigate regulatory complexity, strengthen compliance frameworks, and enhance sustainable performance.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated in Mauritania with leading international consulting and professional services firms, including KPMG, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, BDO, and Baker Tilly International, contributing to high-impact assignments and complex cross-border engagements.
I am currently Managing Partner at MAUREX-SA, where I lead a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated advisory services across tax and legal advisory, accounting, audit, trade finance, and regulatory compliance. In parallel, I am a Partner at Orizon Advisory (MAUREX Branch), supporting local and international clients on legal, tax, and financial advisory matters, with a strong understanding of the local legal, fiscal, and institutional landscape.
I am also a court-approved liquidator, having successfully led and supervised complex insolvency and restructuring matters, including both amicable and judicial liquidations. My experience includes handling sensitive cases involving international group subsidiaries, as well as judicial proceedings relating to major corporate restructurings and banking-sector cases. I have participated in high-profile court-appointed expert assignments, which has enabled me to develop a deep and practical understanding of the judicial system, including civil and commercial litigation processes, court procedures, and interactions with judicial authorities.
Since 2025, I have served as the IBFD (International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation) Correspondent for Mauritania, acting as a key point of contact for international cooperation, professional exchanges, and information sharing in tax, legal, and financial advisory matters.
I support organizations in navigating complex regulatory and judicial environments, aligning international standards with local realities in Mauritania and the Sahel.
